As Creative Manager for The Tampa Tribune for 6+ years, I not only hired, trained, and managed a remarkably talented team of designers and production artists, but I continued to be hands-on and made sure that I worked on ads on a regular basis. The Ferman BMW ads ran as a spread in Flair magazine. Flair was not distributed in their primary geographic target area, so the concept dealt with that topic right up front.
The Malibu ad was presented to the Southern Chevy Dealer’s Association as an example of special shaped ads that could now run in Florida newspapers. Time Magazine's customer service division needed to break through the clutter when recruiting phone reps. Following the disastrous ’04 hurricane season, the New York Yankees anted up $150,000 to the Red Cross. I wrote and designed this newspaper ad asking others to lend their support.
